| About the PS - | This Police Station is one of the oldest Police Station of Paschim Medinipur as well as undivided Medinipur District. Medinipur is a historical place and it took a significant role in freedom movement of the Country. The Kotwali Police Station is District Sadar PS and it has both Municipality and Panchayet areas. There is one Municipality and 09 GPs. The vast portion of the PS is LWE affected. The Kangsaboti River is flowing beside this PS. There is a University namely “Vidyasagar University” situated under this PS. The places- ‘Pathra’- having symbol of destructed Temples of ancient time, and ‘Gope Garh’ Heritage Building and Nature Eco-Tourism have increased the glory of Kotwali Police Station. |
