There are so many political parties are functioning under this P.S, but mainly T.M.C, Left front and congress parties are active at present Ghatal P.S. is also flood affected area, three rivers have gone through out the jurisdiction of this P.S, one of the river Shilabati has gone through the middle of the town and others two rivers namely Ketha river & Shankari river have gone beside the area of this P.S. Ghatal itself used to effect in flood by the river of Shilabati. There are 12 G.Ps and two Municipalities in this P.S. and two TOPs i.e. Ghatal TOP and Kharar TOP under this P.S. |
