Paschim Medinipur Police District Crime Records Bureau in the year 1994 with its officer at the office of Head Quarters at the District Head Quarters at Midnapore Police Office. The entire work is disseminated in 14(fourteen) Sections, i.e. Receipt & Dispatch, Index, Statement (Prepare Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly, Half yearly and Yearly Statement) Crime Register, Finger Print, Computerization, MDO, Missing Portal, Vahan Samannyay Portal, FICN entry in Online, SC/ST entry in Online, Daily Arrest Portal, Computerized Post Mortem Report generation, Xerox etc. Maintenance of Crime Records notwithstanding, District Crime Records Bureau also carry out the assigned tasks of On Line Portal (Missing, Vahan Samannyay, Arrest, FICN, SC/ST and CCTNS) etc. All records relating to crime and alleged matter are computerized in District Crime Records Bureau, Paschim Medinipur and hence when ever any record on the score if called for, can be made available. With the introduction of CCTNS Project all over the West Bengal, District Crime Records Bureau Paschim Medinipur has also being part of the Project and monitoring the project for the District Head Quarters itself. All PSs of the District have been brought under the coverage of CCTNS Project.
